'SOS_SLAVES: Changing the Trafficking Game' Presented at the Games for Change Festival
Chelo Alvarez-Stehle was invited to present her social impactgame SOS_SLAVES: Changing the Trafficking Game—the online companion to the Sands of Silence documentary at the Games For Change Festival Demo SpotLight in June. Chelo and five other producers from around the world were selected to present their games to a panel of designers and funders at the festival's venue, NYU's Skirball Center. Founded in 2004, Games for Change is the leading global advocate for supporting and making games for social impact.
SOS_SLAVES, currently in production, was first conceived at NALIP Latino Producers Academy, received development funding from Latino Public Broadcasting, and its Concept Demo was developed at BAVC Producers Institute for New Media Technologies.
